Bytown Museum, Ottawa
We are the home of Ottawa’s history where young and old alike can experience life in Canada’s capital when it was known as Bytown. The Museum, housed in Ottawa’s oldest stone building and located beside the Entrance Locks of the Rideau Canal, traces the history of Ottawa’s early years, from the construction of the Rideau Canal and the early days of Bytown, to the city’s emergence as Canada’s capital.
The Smiths Falls Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, Smith Falls
Located in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Housed in a former Canadian Northern Railway Station built in 1914, we have 10 acres of things to see and do! See steam and diesel locomotives, and check out the many exhibits in the Station building. Large tour groups and school classes are welcome!
